SONG FOR THE LAST DAY OF MAY

A slow singer, but loading each phrase
With history's overtones, love, joy
And grief learned by his dark tribe
In other orchards and passed on
Instinctively as they are now,
But fresh always with new tears.
R. S. THOMAS

A new Spring look for the blog and a new film to celebrate Spring’s infinite mystery and magnificence.

SILENCE FULL OF MUSIC

My tears are like the quiet drift
Of petals from some magic rose;
And all my grief flows from the rift
Of unremembered skies and snows.
I think, that if I touched the earth,
It would crumble;
It is so sad and beautiful,
So tremulously like a dream.
‘Clown in the Moon’ by Dylan Thomas (age 14)

A film to mark the closing (for now) of My Perfect Mind, to welcome the late burgeoning spring, and to celebrate the wonder of words and the potency of silence.
